John Wang

John’s graduated, his research explores the concept that by combining two nonverbal languages, movementand art, we can aid the people who have difficulty express themselves in words. In order to bridge current technology in the field of art therapy, the research considers the suitability of applying motion-sensing technology and generative art to enhance the therapy provided to clients. Our gesture-based art instrument, engages clients in a manner to allow them to express the repertoire of body movement in the drawing process. It is hoped that by providing a playful whole body interaction as an adjunct to traditional art therapy we will be able to further understand the viability of technology in the creative healing process.
